Not to brag or anything

Oh, who am I kidding. Heck yes, I'm going to brag. This is from our season preview. Not bad, huh?

Blake's predicted order of finish
IHL regular season
1. Fort Wayne: Komets have best coaching, depth and leaders. Can they survive injuries again?

2. Muskegon: Lumberjacks celebrate 50th with league's top forward line. Is the defense better?

3. Port Huron: IceHawks have experience and gotten better on defense. It's up to Larry Sterling.

4. Flint: Generals have a few stars, and Muzzatti will keep building lineup. Need defensive help.

Boucher suffers injured shoulder

He said he hurt it making a save about five minutes into the game. It's a rotator cuff problem, but he doesn't know how much it will affect him for the playoffs.

``He tucked it over to my blocker side so I slid across and my leg missed, but my arm as I slid past the post got wedged,'' Boucher said. ``I slid past the net and just pulled my arm with me. I've never hurt it so I don't know what to expect. Talking to the guys who have hurt their shoulders before, it's usually worse the next day. We'll see.''

Who's going to be the MVP?

There's a lot of candidates this  year with leading scorer Colin Chaulk and Leo Thomas, but And the goaltenders have to be the co-MVPs this year. Four rookie D-men, a team that couldn't score for the first 75 percent of the season, but they showed up every night.

Interesting story

OK, here's a story I personally have no way to relate to, but it was still fun to write and very interesting to talk to the guys about. We talk a lot on the blog about giving 100 percent, but here's an example of how much effort they do put in looked at in a way I'll bet most of you have never considered.

You can read it here.
