Randy Marcom: ``We had a lot of fun. His heart was in it for a long time, and it was never about self-gratification but to introduce new people to the sport if at all possible.''
Michael Franke: ``He loved this. He loved doing the games with Randy. He was always into it. He obviously did not get a lot of renumeration or get rich over this, it was just something he wanted to tdo. He and Randy were a combination that I think people enjoyed for a number of years.
Some very interesting quotes from Scott Bertoli in this: http://www.trentonian.com/articles/2011/07/07/sports/doc4e14ca3a86873929944249.txt?viewmode=fullstory
In the next few minutes and I'm sure we'll talk about Tim. You can listen here http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/16009602
The tests are showing very little brain activity. Tim has a do not recesiate order.
Khris said anyone who wishes to can go to Parkview over the weekend to say goodbye. He's in room 1209 and visiting hours are from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
There's another option here. If you like, you can post your memories of Tim here and I will make sure to get them to the family. I will also keep you posted as soon as I hear more details.
This is just so blasted sad.
``We're looking at some guys,'' Komets General Manager David Franke said. ``We don't have that one or two legitimate 30- or 40-goal scorers yet, but we're working on that. Those type of guys are kind of waiting to see how much they can get because they are in demand. We need a little more offense up front, and that's what we're working on now. I really think the two guys we announced today will be big offensive guys on this team. They know what it takes to win and they like the taste of it.''
New Komets defenseman Jamie Milam wanted to play in Fort Wayne last year, but...
``...Luckily they ran out of room,'' he said with a laugh. Instead, Milam signed with Boosier-Shreveport and won a Central Hockey League playoff title.
When the Mudbugs folded at the end of last season, the Komets went right after Milam and signed him.
I just talked with his wife and she said she has been reading the blog and appreciates everyone's kind words and especially your prayers.
Things are not looking that good right now. Tim has not emerged from his unconscious state. Doctors say the majority of patients wake up within 72 hours once they are off all the medications and sedatives. That would be Friday evening for Tim. So far
The Komets announced Wednesday that they have added two players from the 2011 CHL Champion Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs to the preseason roster. Defenseman Jamie Milam and forward Brett Smith have agreed to terms and will be in the Komet camp when it opens October 10 in preparation of Fort Wayne's 60th anniversary season.
He said the other teams he's negotiating with are Quebec Nordiques and Hartford Whalers. No Italian teams mentioned.
He's in a medically induced coma, and they are going to try to bring him out of it tomorrow. His arteries and veins look good with no blockages. They'll be checking for brain functions when they bring him out, and it looks like he'll need a pacemaker if things come back OK. Right now his pulse is still weak, but his heart is beating on its own.
Keep praying.
Tim suffered a heart attack this morning and was airlifted to Parkview. It sounds like t
But it's still very interesting, especially if you are a baseball fan. I wonder what the rule is on this? Chuckitt, any ideas? Dschebig, Mr.
