Rumor control

There's a rumor out there that unless the players who are currently in the AHL are not back by tomorrow's AHL/ECHL reassignement deadline that they will not be eligible for the playoffs. That is untrue. That deadline is just for AHL players who have not previously appeared in games in FW. Any player who has appeared in 10 ECHL games is eligible for the playoffs, and I believe there is also one exemption from the rule as well. So Eric Faille, Pat Nagle and the guys from Lake Erie are fine. Even if someone else gets called up to the AHL, they would still be fine.
